This is a review of a 10-night honeymoon stay! Ultimately, it was a choice I don’t regret. – Location Midtown was too expensive, so I had no choice but to look for places in Downtown. I planned to use only walking during the trip, and the distance was definitely longer. However, there were major subway stations nearby, so getting around was not a problem at all. I heard Midtown is noisy at night, but Soho was quiet, which was nice.

The Hugo is very convenient for the trip of trip we take to NYC; we love Soho and Tribeca area and these are both easily walkable from the hotel. It is also convenient for Spring Street subway station and a wide range of restaurants. The rooms have a slightly nautical feel which is a pleasant change from chain hotels. We typically request a high floor river (west-facing) view but some of the other rooms have rather less attractive views. Easy to access the tremendous Hudson River Parkway for walks, runs, skating, biking, and more.

Great location, 5-10 min walk to subway stops & walking distance to West Village & Tribecca. Room was clean, well appointed, comfortable bed, good water pressure and hot shower. Nice to have a bathroom door that closes properly (not a slider). Had a partial water view from 9th floor. Deluxe room is a decent size and easily fit two people with carry-ons.

thank you Sheraton Tribeca! i had originally booked to stay with them for 4 nights as i was in town running errands, but things got out of hand and i had to extend to stay 2 more nights. the sheraton team was really understanding and made the extension quick and easy, no room switching or issues. the concierge team was very helpful and friendly, always offering help with a smile. on my last day i had booked a van through the hotel to drive us elsewhere, and accidentally left my purse on the van. after frantic calls and rushing back to the hotel, i was welcomed again by the friendly and reliable concierge staff that reassured me right away that the bag was returned to the hotel and that they’ve kept it for me.

The view from my room of the city was absolutely amazing! The bed was comfy, and the room was a great size for a single traveler in New York City. However, I think two people would also fit comfortably in this room. I thought the location was great. There was easy access to the subway, and it turned out to be the perfect location for the things we planned to do. There are other reviewers that describe a kind of rough neighborhood outside, but I felt safe the whole time.

It is a great hotel with nice rooms. The room was big for NYC. The location is fantastic. The only downside was the bar. I loved the bar but it is clearly set up for locals, especially at night.

Location was very good. We booked 2 rooms 711 and 729. We were charged with $800 of security deposits for each room and upon checking out on 5th January we were told that these deposits will be reimbursed within 3 business days. More than 2 weeks passed already and despite numerous emails and phone call to billing department, and despite the promise nothing has been reimbursed and we were not even informed about the reasons of such delay. We did not want to write this here but our written requests and phone calls were just ignored by hotel. We feel really sorry about this and although $1600 is not an amount that makes us starving but the attitude we are getting is not appropriate.

Stayed at the hotel a few years ago and thought it was terrific, and it didn’t disappoint this time either! The hotel itself is quite unassuming from the outside yet inside the stylish interior and ambience of the place is quite calming and allows you to be away from the hussle of the city but located amongst some of the coolest bars, shops & restaurants when you step outside. And of course when you have a rooftop lounge with amazing views of the city’s skyline, why wouldn’t you love this place! Had a great stay (and narrowly missed out on an upgrade to a one-bed suite which my colleague graciously accepted having got to the hotel first!), I’d return to 60 Thompson when I’m back in town.

I had a great 3 nights here – it was the perfect way to ease myself into NYC after a big couple of weeks before going out there and a long trip from London. The neighbourhood is great, the staff are really spot on (bar the quite frosty receptionist who checked me in – not really rude, but not welcoming either, but it’s a minor grumble as all the other people on hand were brilliant). I’ve not got anything negative to say about my stay, though for the price of the room it would have been a nice touch to have access to free wi-fi rather than paying $10 a day.
