Where to begin? I stayed here for my 50th birthday with three friends. On arrival at check-in was greeted with a glass of cava. I booked 2 rooms and both were upgraded. Wow, a lovely room. Comfy beds, lovely linen, big fluffy towels, slippers, dressing gown.

The hotel is very clean and in a great area close to many attractions. The Gòtic area is very nice close to many restaurants and all kinds of stores. The hotel restaurant is very expensive and small. We didn’t eat at the restaurant or included the breakfast which was 29 euros per person instead we ate at little restaurant around the corner for 7 Euros per person about $14 dollars total.

The staff were very accommodating, helpful, polite and welcoming. Housekeeping was exceptional! Buffet breakfast staff were wonderful given the fact that some guests acted like they were feeding at an animal trough! My complements to them for being patient and professional with those particular guests! I enjoyed the beautiful rooftop terrace on a couple occasions and was delighted by the staff also. On one evening after visiting and sightseeing with my family from Barcelona we intended to visit the rooftop terrace. Unfortunately the terrace was closed due to rain showers so we sat at the restaurant bar to have a drink. The bartender made the evening memorable with his drink creations! We ended up having a few rounds of wonderful cocktail creations that my Spanish family immensely enjoyed.

Loved the roof top pool area, views were stunning looking out over the beach and it had sun all day. Downstairs pool area also looked lovely, although we didn’t try it. The room and bathroom were generously proportioned, with really nice modern decor. Wifi was good. Well located, about 7 mins from Barceloneta Metro, really close to all the bars and restaurants along the seafront and the marina.

An exceptional hotel – you can tell they are really trying to meet any and all service needs, and I really appreciated that. Check in was smooth other than them being very keen to take our bags away from us even when we insisted otherwise (this is a preference from other bad experiences and they struggled with that but not a huge deal). We were given a fantastic welcome gift in our room for our honeymoon (thank you!), the rooftop pool is an oasis in the city and so helpful on a hot day, and the in-room free mini-bar (water, soda) is a nice perk. The in room coffee machine was great. The location couldn’t be better – right in the gothic quarter among the small winding streets with everything you need nearby.

This is a beautiful property on a narrow alleyway which makes it quite & quaint. The staff was much nicer & more helpful than the Arts Hotel (Ritz) and so much better of a location than Arts Hotel. Large business hotel vs a quaint boutique hotel. The Mercer has a small pool which the pigeons seem to like to splas in yet the deck area is very relaxing to either sun bath or just hang outside under the awning area. Nice staff up there plus a really nice city roof top views.

Our stay at Ohla Barcelona lasted three days so don’t mistake this for a single over-nighter. Our stay included a Junior Suite and despite the comments regarding the shower, ours was not in the middle of the room (we did, however, see one of these in another room). The bed was very comfortable and attention to detail was taken in the design of the room – quite modern. For those familiar with the restaurant ‘The Melting Pot’, the design kind of reminded me of that.

If you are looking to explore the City instead of a beach vacation then you can’t beat this location (the beach is still accessible by foot, but is a 2 km walk with beach gear through the city). The breakfast and it’s staff are fabulous, and the wine bar has very friendly and knowledgeable staff as well. The various concierges varied in knowledge and friendliness from exceptional to slightly less than average, so do not expect feeling welcome (or even recognized when you spoke with them a few hours earlier) each time you enter the hotel. The cleaning service was very responsive, and the rooms were turned over at night as well. Very comfortable bed, towels, slippers, etc.

We had a great stay at Sonder Do Placa Reial. The location couldn’t be beat, right on Las Ramblas and in the gothic quarter. The rooftop was nice but we only went up there once. It is set on a nice square that gives you other options for eating and drinking, but tons of places are within walking distance. I would recommend choosing the breakfast included option when booking the room, they had a nice selection and the food was great.

everything was absolutely amazing! SUPER friendly staff – special thanks to Henry and Alessia who always greeted us with friendly faces and were always there to help with anything The room was spacious, modern and very clean, you can’t honestly look for a better location than this which is seconds away from la rambla and 5 minutes from the metro station and la boqueria market it is located in a very lively neighbourhood and has a very nice rooftop view with a bar and a mini pool we booked all of our attractions tickets from the reception which was very easy and a little cheaper personally i recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to be in the center of the city and is planning on seeing barcelona by foot everything was so comfortable! there is nothing to not like!.

I loved that it was centrally located, and that it had a roof top plunge pool. I also thought the roof top staff were amazing! The rest of the staff were great as well. I thought that the mattress was uncomfortable. It was old and needed to be replaced. The linens and the pillows however were very nice.

I was very satisfied with my stay at Barcelona edition. Wish I just stayed here for 4nights at Barcelona. Very clean & right amount of luxury & Good location right next to the local market and boren area. One thing I didn’t like was drop off area. Not enogh taxi.

I visited on January 2022 and had an absolutely wonderful experience. from the minute we stepped into the hotel the first time until our last day in Barcelona, my husband and I were really thankful with the experience and glad we did not book in another hotel. The staff (all of them with no exception) were all amazing! If you go there make sure to ask about Edward as well, he is Super nice and super helpful! he made sure that our experience was at its best and always helped us with everything related to our stay and our tourism plan without even asking him. Edward if you are reading this thank you to you and your best team 🙂 the location of the hotel was at the center of many attractions – walking distance to all of the main areas in the city. also it is surrounded by supermarkets, shops, pharmacies, all the necessities that you might need.

Great location on a quiet street a few blocks off Las Ramblas, midway between the square and cathedral. Very nice staff. Lots of features in a very small space, like a swiss army knife. Kimpton does a free happy hour every evening and the rooms have nice little touches like yoga mats. Cool little rooftop space with a teeny tiny pool.
