The Vincci Porto Hotel was lovely, set right on the river. There is a beautiful bridge you can see when you walk out the front door, we called it “our bridge. ” There is also a supermarket next door with an ATM, very convenient. It was about a 12-15 minute leisurely walk to get to the Ponte Luiz area, but along the way there are restaurants and people out and about. The hotel itself has a very nice breakfast, and the eating area and rooms were clean.

Nice located on the Douro River. Most rooms have no view. Mine on the 4th floor a wall and the sky. Floors below a wall and less sky. Nice bed, clean and quality bedding.

I paid my visit at the restaurant of this hotel two years ago. And decided to stay here for 6 nights this time. It was a memorable place. The check in was pleasant the front clerk who I didn’t catch the name was nice Even bought us a complimentary dessert and wine to our room. Room was spacious and with a nice view.

We especially liked the size of our room (meaning it was comparatively larger than most). We had a nice city view. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Hotel is conveniently located on Porto side of river in and near shopping and restaurants.

Good location, clean, service was very good. Particularly staff and the restaurant. Both Sofia and Bruno were excellent. They were friendly, attentive and helpful. Truely enjoyed dining at the restaurant.

I would definitely choose the NH Porto Batalha again. The location is close to everything. A parking garage, where you can reserve a spot in advance, is less than a block away. The staff was so accommodating — when my phone’s camera lens stopped working because it had gotten wet, the staff gave me a baggie of uncooked rice to dry out my phone. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff was kind enough to alert us when a large tour group would be leaving the hotel, so that we could be assured of finding a table for breakfast, after the group left.

Location, staff, breakfast, bed were all great. When we arrived, were were offered an “upgrade” to a superior room which had an amazing view of the Luis I bridge (see photo). Francesca the guest manager was very helpful. We booked a “superior” room. However, the upgraded room we were given had a substandard, dated shower (see photo).

The Location was amazing, this could not have been beaten especially as we had a balcony room at the front of the hotel overlooking the famous view. Breakfast was amazing all you could eat with a wide range of food choices. Pestano 50 year book gave great explanation of the growth of this family run business and its growth intp Porto.
