Overpriced but excellent hotel – 10 min walk from Shinjuku st. great lounge and light show next door

We enjoyed our stay at Keio Plaza Hotel. The location is excellent. 10 min from the Shinjuku St. (if you manage to find the shortest way) and just 2 min from the Tachomae Metro station. Our room had an excellent view of the Metropolitan government building, where there was a daily lights show projected on the whole building.

Good hotel

I stayed at Tokyo Dome Hotel for a week in April (8–15) and overall had a very pleasant experience. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Tokyo’s entertainment area with easy access to shopping, attractions, and public transport. The staff was polite and helpful, and both reception and room service are available 24/7, which is a big plus. The hotel itself is large, with 43 floors and a variety of amenities: 43rd floor: An Italian restaurant with view 42nd floor: A boutique store 41st to 10th floors: Guest rooms 7th floor: Gym and laundry room 4th floor: Japanese restaurant 3rd floor: Buffet breakfast restaurant 2nd floor: A small but convenient store Rooms are cleaned daily and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. There is also a currency exchange machine in the lobby, which is very convenient, though it was out of service on some days.

One-night stay for a friend’s 50th birthday celebration.

In December 2024, a friend of mine coincidentally realized it was the month of their 50th birthday, so we used it for an end-of-year party to celebrate both their 50th anniversary and Christmas with an overnight stay. When we reserved a room on one of the higher floors with a good view, it turned out to be a sight and a lovely room befitting of a celebration. Although we had plans to explore the city since we were staying in the urban center, we relaxed in the room for a while after check-in. We reported on events from 2024 to each other, enjoyed the view from the room, had some complimentary tea, and both of us appreciated the comfort of the room during this luxurious 50th anniversary gathering. We booked a stay with breakfast included, but for dinner, we decided to explore the neighborhood and choose a place after seeing some actual shops, heading out around 6 PM.

Grand Nikko should be your go to location for a leisurely approach to enjoying Tokyo.

Great location. 5 minute walk to Yurikamone Line. 10 minute walk to JR station. Great shopping malls with very good food nearby. Easy to walk around; not as crowded as the rest of Tokyo but still loaded with shopping and activities.

The hotel and the staff that left a lasting impression on my first trip to Odaiba.

This is a hotel I visited without expectations, but I highly recommend it for various reasons. It was the most impressive hotel during my long trip to Japan, where I stayed at about 15 different hotels. First of all, the hotel entrance is about 30 seconds from the Yurikamome Daiba Station. The beach is also just a one-minute walk away, so the accessibility is excellent. Check-in time is at 3 PM, but I arrived at 1:30 PM and was kindly told I could check in without any extra charge, so I checked in very quickly.
