Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here! The property was in a great location, close to everything we wanted to see but not right in the centre of all of the tourist attractions. Staff was friendly and very helpful. And oh my gosh, the view from the bar and restaurant were gorgeous! Before booking this property, I think itโs important to know that there are two separate โsectionsโ of this hotel โ one is brand new, and one is the original part (which theyโre updating). They do not show photos of the old section online, which is slightly deceiving! My husband and I booked a โPrestigeโ room for our honeymoon based on the photos we saw associated with that level of room online. It looked gorgeous and had hardwood floors.

The hotel upgraded our room upon arrival which was so greatly appreciated as well as had our room ready within 30 minutes of arriving mid morning. Usual check-in is after 2pm so this was so wonderful. We got settled and then went on a tour of the Vatican and St. Peter’s Basilica The Splendid also had a bottle of champagne chilled in our room for our Anniversary which we enjoyed that evening. How thoughtful.

Amazing location at the top of the Spanish Steps and around the corner from Villa Borghese (a beautiful park with stunning views of the city). The guest rooms were large and well-appointed – quiet and peaceful. Service was impeccable and gracious. The concierge was extrneley helpful. Lovely complimentary continental breakfast each day with ample offerings and fresh quality pastries, fruit, hot dishes, etc.

LOCATION AMAZING! Staff were great. When arrived later than expected we asked the front desk pups don take the bags to our room as we wanted to get valuable time in the city. When we arrived in the room later that evening, we discovered a number of issues. It was late so the only thing the night staff could do was move us to a temporary room for the evening. Te guest relations manager arranged a lovely suite the next morning for the remainder of our stay.

The location is excellent, but it is in the restricted zone. We came in a rental car (from Tuscany) that we planned to return the same day in Rome. We were able to park temporarily to drop off luggage and the front desk attendant registered our vehicle for the restricted zone. I recommend you email the hotel in advance if you will be arriving by rental car, so they can give you clear instructions on what to do. The breakfast was good and the best part was that it was fully serviced – not a help-yourself buffet.

The exceptional accommodations set in a historical place, the service, and the People of Palazzo Talรฌa all made it the greatest stay we’ve ever had in any hotel, period. Daniele and his colleagues at the reception desk gave their utmost best to cater to our needs and requests, from a pharmacy order to a last minute private tour of the Galleria Borghese. Michaele and his colleagues at the bar and restaurant offered Michelin level cocktails, drinks and service, all met by the quality of dishes of Chef Marco Coppola. The stay exceeded our expectations on all points. We highly recommend the tour of the property with Miss Angelica, who was able to guide us through the history of the Palazzo and the intent and ideas behind the renovation.
