My husband and I are traveling through Italy and this was our first stop. Unfortunately, the other hotels along our trip just don’t live up to this one! The amentities were great (your stay includes a nice sized gym to use, and access to the spa with very reasonably priced services), the hotel was so clean, chic, and centrally located (very convenient to get around), and the concierge staff was wonderful! Marta, Michael and another woman (I didn’t catch her name) were so helpful and not only made great recommendations for Florence, but also for Siena and Naples. The hotel rooms were also the most spacious that we’ve had, and the most comfortable beds. The bathroom was huge with his and hers sinks. I hope to get back to Florence some day and will definitely stay here again!.

Having visited Florence as a student, it remained embedded in my memory as a city of exceptional charm and beauty. This time, returning with my husband, the experience was completely different and city even more stunning! A large part of this was due to the efforts of the team at Palazzo Portinari Salviati. The hotel itself is gorgeous with a majestic courtyard, delightfully unexpected given its ideal location in the heart of the historic and cultural quarter. The room (303) and bathroom were large, luxuriously appointed and very peaceful, effortlessly merging old-world and contemporary charm. We were also very touched by the bottle of Laurent Perrier champagne that was placed in our room to commemorate our anniversary! Given that we visited in August and the temperatures outside were soaring, the only issue we faced was the inefficiency of the air-conditioning system.

The location near the Duomo Cathedral and all the other attractions of Florence was ideal. The walk from Stazione Firenze Santa Maria Novella was a bit much with luggage but the local bus system works well and we took the bus back, much easier. The Palazzo Niccolini al Duomo is such a historical site and the rooms reflect that. Perhaps someday we will be back and be able to use one of the suites. But even the more standard rooms were nice, although much smaller.

The truth is, I was debating between Four Seasons and this one until the end, but I have no regrets 🙂 I thought I could enjoy a hotel or resort with good facilities and services in other vacation spots, so I couldn’t give up the suite room with a direct view of the Duomo. It was really the right choice. The room wasn’t particularly sophisticated or luxurious, but it captured the essence of Florence beautifully, and I felt a charm in the vintage and worn-out furniture and building. The staff were very friendly, and I didn’t expect much from the breakfast menu, which is often similar across Europe, but it was warmer and tastier than I anticipated. (Including the coffee!) In the afternoon, when you go to the restaurant, tea, coffee, and snacks are always available, and the donuts were delicious, hehe.

The title says it all! My wife and I stayed here for a total of 6 days 5 nights in July 2022 and were extremely impressed with the whole ambience of the hotel. The reception, Honesty bar (a DIY bar right next to the reception), and the daily breakfasts were all top notch! Linda was extremely welcoming and made us feel right at home! One incident that really impressed me and my wife (and we really think it’s worth mentioning here) was on our last day when we informed Linda that we had to check out very early the next day as we had to catch a flight out. Linda was so thoughtful and offered to prepare us breakfast to-go so that we wouldn’t leave on an empty stomach. We honestly didn’t expect the amazing breakfast we got – sandwiches, cakes, croissants, bananas and fruit juice all neatly packed for us. We were very pleasantly surprised by the effort put into the service for the guests! On top of all that, the location is also great and is just a stone’s throw from the shopping belt and the duomo.

This hotel is a little jewel in the center of Florence. The moment you walk into Casa G your whole experience begins with a newly renovated historical palace and a bit of jazz in the dedicated lobby area. Casa G´s location is superb. You will be able to reach Florence’s train station within minutes as well as most of the city’s main touristic attractions. Via dei Rondinelli is a safe haven from the crowds that visit Florence every day but still manages to be perfectly located and in the heart of the city.
