The view is unbelievable. Especially on sunset. Everything was perfect except the Wifi (which doesn’t work) The food was amazing. Room was super clean. I would give it 9/10 The Wifi in the rooms was terrible.

The views from the hotel are wonderful and the breakfast staff amazing, polite, courteous and welcoming. However this is not a 5 star hotel far from it. Tiny TV in room, with 2 English channels and not a smart TV, no full length mirrors, no chain on bath plug, flaking paint in bath tub. The hotel offers a shuttle bus to Fira it’s a 30 mins walk, shuttle bus 4 times a day last one at 8pm, should be every hour and last one at 11pm. The hotel has very little facilities, Spa and Gym are not onsite but in sister hotel.

For our arrival, we pre-booked with the hotel a ‘private’ pick-up transfer (€10 per person) from Athinios Port. I’d read lots of stories about the long slow trip from the Port to Fira. The trip is approximately 10km, but the first 4km is a very steep climb up a narrow single lane road, with 7 or more tight hairpin bends. There is no opportunity to pass, so after a ferry has arrived, the traffic is like a long slow procession of ants crawling up the sheer cliff-face. To get a jump on the traffic, we made sure we were among the first passengers off the ferry.

The bed was very comfortable, the shower was spacious and had good water pressure. There was a pool and hot tub which were nice and good working AC. I liked having a hot water kettle, mini fridge, and hair dryer, and the maid and main desk personnel were very nice. There was a nice small table with 2 chairs outside our room. They provide shuttle service if you coordinate with them ahead of time.

Almost everything in this place is amazing. The comfort of the rooms, interior, massive pool and massive bath-tub gets 10/10! The room is impeccably clean, thank you to the hard working cleaners whom I get to watch everyday do their job thoroughly. The waiters/waitresses were exceptionally friendly, helpful and always with a ready smile, special mention to Dmitrios & Receptionist Marieflor! We also love the breakfast spread, food & cocktails. I only have a complain towarda the lady in charge of the booking. Her name is NEILI.

I could not believe the level at which I would be taken care of when I booked this place. I was able to be checked in early and was properly shown all of the facilities (Thanks Penny). While waiting I was able to get a coffee a look at the sea, what an enchanting view. After a very small wait – I was lead to my room. Once I went in I was mesmerized! The bathtub was like my very own spa tub! I obviously spent a lot of time there.

The Royal Suite with Outdoor Hot Tub and Caldera View was the nicest hotel property we have ever stayed at. It was spacious and clean, with an expansive living room, formal dining area, two master bedrooms with bath, a 3rd full bathroom off the living area, and the private patio with multiple hot tubs right on the edge of the caldera, sunset views, fantastic included breakfast delivered to our room in the morning, baggage assistance getting our luggage down to our room from the “top,” it was all fantastic and worthy of the hype. Our one complaint would be around the restaurant / room service. The food itself was great, but expect to wait between 60-90 minutes after your order. Apparently there is one chef working to serve the entire hotel of guests.

The hotel and staff are great. But our stay there was at the wrong time, during the cool weather. Why we haven’t enjoyed the full scale of what the hotel is offering. You cannot use the pool with a panoramic sunset view or have breakfast on your terrace with the caldera under your feet. For breakfast you can get everything you need and they will bring it to your room.

The location was quiet, about a 7-minute walk from the center, making it easily accessible for sightseeing whenever I wanted. I could take photos and have fun in the long pool, and I had a great time watching the sunset in the jacuzzi pool. The breakfast was decent, and the private parking was convenient. The downside was that the bedding and towels felt a bit coarse rather than soft.
