Like the Grand Lounge was comfortable and definitely worth the extra to pay. The staff member on duty both Fri, sat pm before leaving around 4 and sun morning was delightful and always willing to assist. Feel the time of 6 to 8 was restrictive but 5 to 8 would be good as a drink before going out to dinner etc. We were fortunate to have a sneak preview of the Diplomatic room as it was being clean and oh my gosh that is a sensational room and something to have next time if we stay. My partner arrived at around 3 40ishpm at the Collins st Entry on Friday 21st and she was late for the wellbeing appt in Health Centre at 345 so I was left with 2 luggage, my work bag, a back pack and 3 coat hangers with clothes on and I said to the reception desk could I have a trolley to take the bags up and the person behind the desk said you have to go down to escalator or lift to the Russell St entry and I looked at him and with pure disgust, shake my head at him and then had to carry two bags, backpack, my work bag and my clothes to the lift to the room on 32nd floor on my own.

Just home from A disappointing overnight stay. Had spoken with the hotel in the days leading up to our arrival about possibility of early check in. Hotel were prompt in response, and while not able to guarantee 100%, was advised they would make a note and do everything they could to accomodate. We arrived 30 mins post the time we had first arrived and was Told room not ready and we would be called when ready. Tried again 1hr later and advised not ready and they would call us.

The proximity to Southgate Shopping Center gave us access to very good food (Japanese, Chinese, seafood) just a few steps away (indeed without actually leaving the hotel complex)! The location was perfect for museums and garden and close to the cathedral and the train station. and river tours. The pedestrian bridge across the river was easy and fun to cross. The room is spacious, and the bed and pillows really comfortable, and the location is quite simply ideal as was the river view from our window.

This is one of my favourite hotels in Melbourne. Elegant hotel, with beautiful fittings, and a lovely gentle atmosphere. The staff are efficient and helpful. And compliments to the staff in Aria for their warmth and friendliness. Aria is the hotel’s bar and casual dining location.

We stayed at The Windsor for one night Check In was fairly chaotic trying to unload car and no staff to assist outside we were battling taxis trying to get on and off rank and guests leaving cars double parked In the end I left my car double parked and asked for valet parking to move and park my car Check in was seamless Our room was lovely but bathroom window was quite dated and a very tired old aircon heater in room with no instructions on how to actually use it Could not access hotel Wi Fi after checking code again at reception There were no face washers in the bathroom so we used hand towel as face washer Trying to sleep was difficult as door to bathroom would not close and appeared stressed against hinges so that you could not pull it closed and the bathroom window had no curtains and light from outside shone in to bedroom Along with that the air conditioning heating started making noises at 2am Luckily we both carry earplug Breakfast was lovely staff very efficient and polite No early checkout available so stood in queue for some time as two people behind counter dealt with one couples problems for a long time Love the ambience of the old place but would think twice about staying there again room was quite tired and one expects to have a good night sleep.

I had a memorable stay with Ifstays Light House. The location is so central. Basically, you can walk to Bourke street, QV Mall by foot within 10 mins. Both Winnie and Anna are very efficient and friendly. They took the patience to attend to my queries even before I arrived at the key collection place at Queen street.

The pros were that the location was perfect, although I was given the wrong address to collect key and got dropped off in a cab 2 klm from where I had to collect the key to gain entry. We then walked across the whole city with suitcases in tow. The Apartment would be much more comfortable if they put some more home comforts such as more pictures on the wall and maybe wallpaper on one wall just to make it less clinical. The worst thing was the noise from the building work 20 metres from the bedroom as a new apartment block is being built. Bang Bang Bang from 6.30 in the morning.
