Some hotels are a place to sleep and nothing more. And that’s ok! But Divani Corfu Palace is a home away from home. It’s beyond lovely. The staff is full-on professionals, which is a rarity these days. The hotel has a beautiful view on one side and lush nature on the other.

We chose the hotel because of the proximity to Corfu airport for our last two nights on the way back from Albania. We enjoyed the pool and breakfast. The facilities have been recently updated, beds are comfortable. The location is a bit too far from town or any other facilities. The restaurant is mediocre.

The view from the room was breathtaking! Even if you took the view away from the room, it was very comfortable, and the amenities were top-notch. We ordered room service for the first time ever so we could have dinner on the balcony and the price point, with taste point, was excellent. The room was fantastic. We are frequent visitors to Corfu and we stay in different places every time, but this time, it was just breathtaking. We wanted to change our flight to stay longer but there was no availability.

Breakfast buffet was excellent. Staff pleasant and responsive. Locale is perfect. Decor and layout of the hotel is very tasteful. These is a palatial feel to the lobby and adjacent spaces.

The hotel is very near to the view point facing the mouse island and the church of Panagia Vlacherna below, and just opposite to the city bus stop. The restaurent, the food, the breakfast, the staffs, the view of the pool from higher floors were superb. But, the room and the facilities they provide (specially inside a room) are of poor quality. No welcome drink. No complimentary water bottle inside the room.

Mon Repos Palace has done a really good job incorporating the modern amenities we have come to expect into a classic old building. It is lovely and the team offers a high level of service. They are dedicated workers and some of them appear to be there 24/7. The location is great because you are just on the outskirts of town and have wonderful views along with a more relaxed ambiance. It is a about a 30 minute walk to the old fortress and a little further to the far end of Corfu town. There are also buses but it is a scenic, pedestrian-friendly, mostly flat walk.

Liked the location, nice quiet area by the sea and walking distance to the old town. As we used electrical bicycles, there was everything so close and easily reachable. Hotel reception gave permission to use a room next to reception to keep our bicycles there at night, so we were sure we parked them in a safe place. Hotel is very near to Mon Repos park and it was very nice place to ride a bike, walk and there was also good place to swim. Breakfast was quite good and with many choices, we had porridge and fruits, local sweets and we really liked fresh fruit smootie every morning.

Overall, this is a very good option, especially if you are on a budget and want to keep costs down. The rates are very reasonable, the sea view rooms offer a stunning view across the bay, the beach and the sea are beautiful, and the swimming pool is excellent. For 19 Euros, the dinner buffet with a glass of beer or wine is a good cheap option, although the food is not brilliant. The breakfast buffet is very disappointing – fried eggs stuck together with dozens of others, congealed, are rather revolting, the scrambled eggs and ‘omelettes’ disgusting, the orange juice watery and the filter coffee like brown water. It was a surprise to find that the hotel offers no laundry service at all and there is no laundry in the vicinity (I usually don’t use hotel laundry as they’re usually expensive, but when there’s no external laundry and no hotel laundry it’s a problem – so bring enough clothes for your stay).

The views were amazing and the staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, although a bit repetitive. There’s not much to do in Perama but the bus station is right next to Oasis. There are 2 taverns close by and a minimarket next to the hotel. The beach was clean and easily accessible (there were stairs).
