Oh My Goodness ! Where to start. First of all let me say I LOVE THE HAVEN SEMINYAK. The highlights of my stay are : 1. Reception/Check-in & out Experience: – The check-in/out process was so time efficient , plus they remembered me as their repeating guest from the past. It made me feel so special. – I appreciated the help for my luggages too since i always travel with heaps of stuff lol -The greetings each time they see you is another level , so professional and welcoming.

It was our first time to Seminyak and we landed at midnight and we opted to stay close to the airport before traveling and staying in Uluwatu and Ubud and then returning to Seminyak. We were referred to Grand Balisani (GBS) by family members who were having a wedding at Phalosa Villa ) opposite GBS however, most of the pre -wedding functions were held at GBS. Location: GBS is a stone throw away from the beach which is great. It is situated 10 minutes (traffic dependent) from Seminyak Village and the Flea Markets and is around 45-60 minutes (traffic dependant) by car to the Kuta. It took us around 15-25 minutes (by bike) to Canggu and we visited Penny Lane restaurant which is a must! It is relatively close (15 minutes+- by car) to beach clubs like Atlas and Potato Head beach club both of which are a must visit.

We spent 13 nights in this wonderful hotel. The room was spacious and had everything we needed, including mini fridge and a good little kettle, which as Brits is very important! The breakfast buffet was excellent. Plenty of fresh fruit, juices, breads and pastries, cereals, the egg station which was always perfect no matter what I ordered. Also rice, noodles, sausages and other hot breakfast items. The cappuccino was exceptional.

I stayed at De Vins Sky Hotel for four days and three nights, and it was undoubtedly one of the best decisions I made as a solo traveler. The hotel is about 200-300 meters from the main street, and I used Shi Shi Nightclub as a landmark for directions. To reach the hotel, you pass by several villas, which might be a downside for some, but I personally saw it as a benefit since it made the area quieter. The hotel also provides a free buggy ride to Seminyak Village. There’s no set schedule—if the buggy is there, just inform the concierge and hop on.

The kids water-play and pool is the best part of the hotel. The pool stretches out uniquely. They also have Waka Waka Indoor Playground at Level 2 for a whole day of fun for kids at a 10% discount for hotel guests and adults can have their relaxing time at the Ocean Beach Spa at 15% off. Personally the spa is a must try and worth the money! Check-in time took longer than expected but we got an upgrade to ocean view room but being at level 3, there isn’t much to see but we can hear the waves crashing! Also if you book bedroom suite you got to climb up the stairs, there is no lift access but hotel provide luggage assistance, so if you have kids with you, please request for room with lift access or ground level. Street food in a wheeled food cart is easily available in-front of the hotel, such as the delicious Halal Mee Ayam Bakso, Jagung Bakar and Flavoured Crepes! There’s 24hrs Mart and Circle K few doors away and a lot of variety of Cafes and Bars along the hotel which you will be spoilt for choice.

I had some worries after reading other people’s travel reviews, but I will likely use this place again next time. I don’t understand what is considered old and worn out; I’m very satisfied with the price. I stayed in a one-bedroom, and it had a refrigerator and cooking facilities prepared. The spacious balcony makes it look like a building where a villa is managed by the hotel for profit, rather than just a hotel. I find it hard to believe that it’s worn out.
