It is a great hotel with nice rooms. The room was big for NYC. The location is fantastic. The only downside was the bar. I loved the bar but it is clearly set up for locals, especially at night.

Location was very good. We booked 2 rooms 711 and 729. We were charged with $800 of security deposits for each room and upon checking out on 5th January we were told that these deposits will be reimbursed within 3 business days. More than 2 weeks passed already and despite numerous emails and phone call to billing department, and despite the promise nothing has been reimbursed and we were not even informed about the reasons of such delay. We did not want to write this here but our written requests and phone calls were just ignored by hotel. We feel really sorry about this and although $1600 is not an amount that makes us starving but the attitude we are getting is not appropriate.

Mercer is very conveniently located. The hotel offers understated elegance but it is a bit run down. We were told that we were upgraded, turns out the upgrade was to a disabled room, with an open, difficult to use shower. The rooms are large considering NYC standards, very clean, but furniture, fixtures, curtains, carpeting etc. are old.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Mercer. The staff are definitely the highlight (shout out to Joshua) in how friendly and helpful they are. Itโs nice that the lobby is just for guests. The room was spacious and they welcomed me with a cookie from Laduree! You can also book a small gym room to work out in, or go to the partner gym if you want something more elaborate. Location is excellent too.

Stayed at the hotel a few years ago and thought it was terrific, and it didn’t disappoint this time either! The hotel itself is quite unassuming from the outside yet inside the stylish interior and ambience of the place is quite calming and allows you to be away from the hussle of the city but located amongst some of the coolest bars, shops & restaurants when you step outside. And of course when you have a rooftop lounge with amazing views of the city’s skyline, why wouldn’t you love this place! Had a great stay (and narrowly missed out on an upgrade to a one-bed suite which my colleague graciously accepted having got to the hotel first!), I’d return to 60 Thompson when I’m back in town.

I had a great 3 nights here – it was the perfect way to ease myself into NYC after a big couple of weeks before going out there and a long trip from London. The neighbourhood is great, the staff are really spot on (bar the quite frosty receptionist who checked me in – not really rude, but not welcoming either, but it’s a minor grumble as all the other people on hand were brilliant). I’ve not got anything negative to say about my stay, though for the price of the room it would have been a nice touch to have access to free wi-fi rather than paying $10 a day.

Every single staff member went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They truly were exceptional. Room decor very elegant and comfortable. We only had breakfast in the dining room – but it was less than desirable w/ stale bagels & croissants, and lukewarm eggs Benedict. BUT – the staff was exceptional.

The hotel is beautifully and thoughtfully designed. However, when I couldn’t operate the coffee machine in my room and called housekeeping for help, the staff member simply said, “This machine is broken,” and left. Although I expected a complimentary coffee as a courtesy, I didn’t receive one. Overall, I would have appreciated if the hotel staff โ especially the front desk team โ were a bit warmer and more helpful. Other than that, thereโs really nothing negative to say about Fouquetโs.

Great location on the Edge of West Village. The building is pretty new, and the apartment is well furnished and equiped. The bed was super comfortable. Apartment is second floor on a pretty busy road. However there is double glazing, and it never disturbed mine or my partnerโs (who is a really light sleeper) sleep.
